San Juan Capistrano, California
The City of San Juan Capistrano is a unique community grounded in a history of native American culture in Orange County, the Mission established by Franciscan missionaries in 1776, and an agrarian past. The City has grown from a small community of approximately 10,000 persons in 1974 to a developed city of 35,215 in January 2003, with a variety of land uses providing open space, recreation, housing, jobs, shopping and services.
